Some call this week’s guest ‘The Baby Whisperer’ and I couldn’t agree more. Hand over heart, my transition into motherhood would not have been the same if it weren’t for Michelle Jackson. She has been such a constant source of knowledge, wisdom, love and light (with a few f bombs thrown in for good measure!) Michelle is a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Childbirth Educator & Infant Sleep Specialist with over 20 years experience, having worked extensively in both private and public practice in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
She pretty much knows everything there is to know about babies, so much so that this is Part 2 of the interview, with Part 1 released last week, which was about Michelle’s first birth and how it couldn’t have been further from what she had envisioned as a midwife. She talked about the difficulties of having a baby in the NICU and her struggle to breastfeed. This week we will give you the low down on what sleep training actually is, because there is a lot of negative misconceptions out there. As always and as Michelle said last week, it’s about writing your own story – so you do whatever is right for you and your family. And if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
